Family Photo Session at Playa del Socorro

A family session at Playa del Socorro in Los Realejos, a wide black sand beach on the north coast of Tenerife. Photographed by Iryna Danylko.

The beach faces north-west, so the strongest light arrives in the last hour before sunset, with the cliffs of the Rambla de Castro along one side. Dark sand keeps the background simple, and light clothing reads well against it.
