For portraits the location should stay quiet, and this beach does that: pale sand, palms and white architecture behind, so nothing competes with the person in front of it.
I work with the palm shade during the day and the open beach in the final hour before sunset. Shade gives even light and nobody squints; the evening gives warm side-light and long shadows. Two changes of clothing are usually enough to make both look like different sessions.
