Family Photo Session at Playa de las Gaviotas

Facing east, this cove gets its best light in the morning while the rest of the north coast is still flat. By late afternoon the Anaga cliffs put the beach into shadow, so this is a session that starts early.
It is a small cove and rarely crowded, which is the practical reason to bring children here rather than to a resort beach. The black sand also keeps the frame quiet, so bright clothing reads well against it.
