Costa Adeje sits on the dry southern side of the island, so light here is dependable in a way it never is in the north. That also makes timing strict: the first two hours after sunrise, or the last two before sunset. Midday on this beach is bright, flat and unkind to everyone.
The promenade is level, there is shade under the palms and a cafe is thirty seconds away, which matters more than it sounds when you are photographing a two-year-old in August.
